WORK HISTORY

I have been lucky to be able to make a living as a writer and editor for the past 25 years. I’ve wrangled book manuscripts, edited e-commerce, and profiled folks including Olympic athletes, artists, and even (yes, once!) a taxidermist. Editor of website content for consistency of brand voice during the consolidation of two e-commerce companies. Edit blog posts, press releases, white papers, e-books, and other copy for spelling and punctuation, tone, and accuracy

SENIOR COPY EDITOR, NIKE/PRO UNLIMITED

Category editor on the Global Brand Writing team, partnering with category writers for Nike Running, Basketball/NBA, and Training to produce foundational copy for business partners and consumers via nike.net and nike.com. Responsible for referencing resources and style guides to review and edit copy blocks across a wide variety of deliverables. Work with category copy writers to ensure copy is concise, on-brand, and legally compliant.

SENIOR EDITOR, NETRUSH

Content editor for a retail-agency e-commerce hybrid that partners with premium brands including KEEN, Leatherman, Ruffwear, Fjallraven, and Megafood. Responsible for reviewing all internal and external company copy for spelling, punctuation, and syntax prior to publication and submission to partners. Coach copywriters on tone and flow. Ensure compliance with language restriction for selling platforms and how they are applied to copy. Compile partner-specific style guides and fact check for accuracy.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS, FRENCH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Managing editor of all printed and digital communications, including alumni magazine, online magazines and weekly newsletters, and website content. Editorial gatekeeper for communications among all constituent groups including faculty/staff, board of trustees, current parents, and alumni and alumni parents. Storyteller and ambassador of organization’s brand, mission, and voice via digital and print media for recruitment, retention, philanthropy, and engagement. Social media copywriter for admissions, fundraising, and alumni relations departments; website development, management, and oversight.

EDITOR, TIMBER PRESS

Editor of book manuscripts for international publisher specializing in gardening, horticulture, and the Pacific Northwest region. Partner with authors at all stages of publishing including acquisitions, developmental editing, marketing, design, and sales. Photo-editing and collaboration/contribution to book design.
